Ond ar ddiwrnod cyntaf yr wythnos, ar ddechrau'r wawr, aethant i'r bedd, gan gymryd y sbeisys yr oeddent wedi'u paratoi. 2A dyma nhw'n dod o hyd i'r garreg wedi'i rholio i ffwrdd o'r bedd, 3ond pan aethant i mewn ni chawsant gorff yr Arglwydd Iesu. 4Tra roeddent yn ddryslyd ynglŷn â hyn, wele ddau ddyn yn sefyll wrth eu hymyl mewn dillad disglair.
But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel.
5Ac wrth iddyn nhw ddychryn ac ymgrymu eu hwynebau i'r llawr, dywedodd y dynion wrthyn nhw, "Pam dych chi'n ceisio'r byw ymysg y meirw? 6Nid yw yma, ond mae wedi codi. Cofiwch sut y dywedodd wrthych, tra roedd yn dal i fod yng Ngalilea, 7bod yn rhaid i Fab y Dyn gael ei draddodi i ddwylo dynion pechadurus a'i groeshoelio ac ar y trydydd diwrnod godi. "
5And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, 7that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise."
8A chofiasant ei eiriau, 9ac wedi dychwelyd o'r bedd dywedasant yr holl bethau hyn wrth yr un ar ddeg ac wrth yr holl weddill. 10Nawr, Mary Magdalene a Joanna a Mary mam Iago a'r menywod eraill gyda nhw a ddywedodd y pethau hyn wrth yr apostolion, 11ond ymddangosai y geiriau hyn iddynt stori segur, ac nid oeddent yn eu credu. 12Ond cododd Pedr a rhedeg i'r bedd; wrth ymgrymu ac edrych i mewn, gwelodd y cadachau lliain wrth eu hunain; ac aeth adref yn rhyfeddu at yr hyn a ddigwyddodd.
8And they remembered his words, 9and returning from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. 10Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles, 11but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them. 12But Peter rose and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths by themselves; and he went home marveling at what had happened.
13Yr union ddiwrnod hwnnw roedd dau ohonyn nhw'n mynd i bentref o'r enw Emmaus, tua saith milltir o Jerwsalem, 14ac roeddent yn siarad â'i gilydd am yr holl bethau hyn a oedd wedi digwydd. 15Tra roedden nhw'n siarad ac yn trafod gyda'i gilydd, fe ddaeth Iesu ei hun yn agos a mynd gyda nhw. 16Ond cadwyd eu llygaid rhag ei gydnabod. 17Ac meddai wrthyn nhw, "Beth yw'r sgwrs hon rydych chi'n ei chynnal gyda'ch gilydd wrth i chi gerdded?" A dyma nhw'n sefyll yn eu hunfan, yn edrych yn drist.
13That very day two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem, 14and they were talking with each other about all these things that had happened. 15While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. 16But their eyes were kept from recognizing him. 17And he said to them, "What is this conversation that you are holding with each other as you walk?" And they stood still, looking sad.
18Yna atebodd un ohonyn nhw, o'r enw Cleopas, "Ai chi yw'r unig ymwelydd â Jerwsalem nad yw'n gwybod y pethau sydd wedi digwydd yno yn y dyddiau hyn?"
18Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered him, "Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?"
19Ac meddai wrthynt, "Pa bethau?" A dywedon nhw wrtho, "Ynghylch Iesu o Nasareth, dyn a oedd yn broffwyd nerthol mewn gweithred a gair gerbron Duw a'r holl bobl,"
19And he said to them, "What things?" And they said to him, "Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,
20a sut y gwaredodd ein prif offeiriaid a'n llywodraethwyr ef i gael ei gondemnio i farwolaeth, a'i groeshoelio. 21Ond roedden ni wedi gobeithio mai ef oedd yr un i achub Israel. Ydy, ac ar wahân i hyn i gyd, mae bellach yn drydydd diwrnod ers i'r pethau hyn ddigwydd. 22Ar ben hynny, roedd rhai menywod ein cwmni yn ein syfrdanu. Roedden nhw wrth y beddrod yn gynnar yn y bore, 23a phan na ddaethon nhw o hyd i'w gorff, daethant yn ôl gan ddweud eu bod hyd yn oed wedi gweld gweledigaeth o angylion, a ddywedodd ei fod yn fyw. 24Aeth rhai o'r rhai a oedd gyda ni i'r beddrod a'i ddarganfod yn union fel y dywedodd y menywod, ond ni welsant ef. "
20and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him. 21But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened. 22Moreover, some women of our company amazed us. They were at the tomb early in the morning, 23and when they did not find his body, they came back saying that they had even seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. 24Some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see."
25Ac meddai wrthynt, "O rai ffôl, ac yn araf eu calon i gredu popeth y mae'r proffwydi wedi'i siarad! 26Onid oedd yn angenrheidiol i'r Crist ddioddef y pethau hyn a mynd i mewn i'w ogoniant? " 27A chan ddechrau gyda Moses a'r holl Broffwydi, dehonglodd iddynt yn yr holl Ysgrythurau'r pethau a oedd yn ymwneud ag ef ei hun. 28Felly dyma nhw'n agosáu at y pentref roedden nhw'n mynd iddo. Roedd yn gweithredu fel pe bai'n mynd ymhellach,
25And he said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?" 27And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. 28So they drew near to the village to which they were going. He acted as if he were going farther,
29ond dyma nhw'n ei annog yn gryf, gan ddweud, "Arhoswch gyda ni, oherwydd mae hi tua'r nos ac mae'r diwrnod bellach wedi'i dreulio'n bell." Felly aeth i mewn i aros gyda nhw.
29but they urged him strongly, saying, "Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent." So he went in to stay with them.
30Pan oedd wrth fwrdd gyda nhw, cymerodd y bara a'i fendithio a'i dorri a'i roi iddyn nhw. 31Agorwyd eu llygaid, a gwnaethant ei gydnabod. Ac fe ddiflannodd o'u golwg. 32Dywedon nhw wrth ein gilydd, "Oni losgodd ein calonnau o'n mewn wrth siarad â ni ar y ffordd, tra agorodd yr Ysgrythurau inni?" 33Codon nhw'r un awr a dychwelyd i Jerwsalem. A dyma nhw'n dod o hyd i'r un ar ddeg a'r rhai oedd gyda nhw wedi ymgynnull, 34gan ddweud, "Mae'r Arglwydd wedi codi yn wir, ac wedi ymddangos i Simon!" 35Yna dywedon nhw beth oedd wedi digwydd ar y ffordd, a sut roedd yn hysbys iddyn nhw wrth dorri'r bara.
30When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. 31And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight. 32They said to each other, "Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?" 33And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34saying, "The Lord has risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!" 35Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread.
36Wrth iddyn nhw siarad am y pethau hyn, fe safodd Iesu ei hun yn eu plith, a dweud wrthyn nhw, "Heddwch i ti!"
36As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, "Peace to you!"
37Ond roedden nhw wedi dychryn ac yn ofnus ac yn meddwl eu bod nhw'n gweld ysbryd.
37But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit.
38Ac meddai wrthynt, "Pam ydych chi'n poeni, a pham mae amheuon yn codi yn eich calonnau? 39Gweld fy nwylo a fy nhraed, mai fi fy hun ydyw. Cyffyrddwch â mi, a gwelwch. Oherwydd nid oes gan ysbryd gnawd ac esgyrn fel y gwelwch fod gennyf. " 40Ac wedi iddo ddweud hyn, dangosodd iddynt ei ddwylo a'i draed. 41Ac er eu bod yn dal i anghredu am lawenydd ac yn rhyfeddu, dywedodd wrthynt, "Oes gennych chi unrhyw beth yma i'w fwyta?"
38And he said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." 40And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. 41And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marveling, he said to them, "Have you anything here to eat?"
42Rhoesant ddarn o bysgod broiled iddo, 43a chymerodd ef a bwyta o'u blaenau. 44Yna dywedodd wrthynt, "Dyma fy ngeiriau y siaradais â chi tra roeddwn yn dal gyda chi, bod yn rhaid cyflawni popeth a ysgrifennwyd amdanaf yng Nghyfraith Moses a'r Proffwydi a'r Salmau."
42They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43and he took it and ate before them. 44Then he said to them, "These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled."
45Yna agorodd eu meddyliau i ddeall yr Ysgrythurau, 46a dywedodd wrthynt, "Fel hyn y mae yn ysgrifenedig, y dylai'r Crist ddioddef ac ar y trydydd dydd godi oddi wrth y meirw, 47ac y dylid cyhoeddi edifeirwch a maddeuant pechodau yn ei enw ef i'r holl genhedloedd, gan ddechrau o Jerwsalem. 48Rydych chi'n dystion o'r pethau hyn. 49Ac wele fi yn anfon addewid fy Nhad arnoch chi. Ond arhoswch yn y ddinas nes eich bod wedi'ch gwisgo â phwer o uchel. "
45Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46and said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48You are witnesses of these things. 49And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high."
50Yna fe'u harweiniodd allan cyn belled â Bethany, a chan godi ei ddwylo fe'u bendithiodd. 51Wrth iddo eu bendithio, gwahanodd oddi wrthynt a chludwyd ef i'r nefoedd. 52Aethant i'w addoli a dychwelyd i Jerwsalem gyda llawenydd mawr, 53ac yn barhaus yn y deml yn bendithio Duw.
50Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. 51While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52And they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53and were continually in the temple blessing God.
